Turn goals into an operating plan
For buildings, that means identifying energy needs, planning equipment replacement and evaluating efficiency, electrification and renewable supply together. Funding and maintenance plans matter alongside the choice of technology.
Progress should be reported through completed measures and measured outcomes, with targets and forecasts clearly identified. An individual installation is part of a wider effort rather than proof that a community-wide objective has been achieved.
